The Supreme Court
The Supreme Court is the highest judicial court in a country or stat and it consists of nine justices. The Supreme Court starts off with a case and thousands of petitions. All nine justices are crucial in each and everyone of these cases. Each justice serves about 16 years and there have been over 100 of them. In 1789, when the Supreme Court first started, it was hard for Americans to grasp the idea of it and its dominance. However, after 200 years Americans have finally accepted the courts power and authority. Each year, there are about 7,000 cases. Each justice gets a load of cases that they must decide on their own time, as well as a whole. The justices have stated that oral argument makes a huge difference when coming down to a decision.
